All well-designed security systems guard against perimeter doors (including overhead doors) being opened by unauthorized persons. This Heavy Duty contact comes complete with armored cable and is ideal in the rigorous environments of commercial and industrial installations. Each Overhead Door Contact consists of two parts - a specially designed low profile "switch", to be mounted on the floor or above the door and the magnet to be installed on the moving surface opposite the switch. Opening the door moves the magnet away from the switch and a signal is transmitted to the Control Panel, which analyses the event, to determine whether an alarm condition has occured.
