All well-designed security systems guard against perimeter doors being opened by unauthorized persons. The Plunger Style contact is ideal for those circumstances where it is difficult to run wires to the opening side of the door or window, or for double doors where no frame exists on the opening edge of the door. To install the contact, a single hole is drilled into the frame of the door on the hinge side. The circuit wire is then pulled through that hole and is connected to the leads on the plunger contact. Once installed and connected to your alarm control panel, the plunger style contact works like the switch that turns the light on when you open your refrigerator or car door. |
