This Digital Video Recorder (DVR) is a high-quality digital recorder that combines the functions of a recorder and multiplexer into one unit. This DVR provides superior picture quality that can exceed that of a standard SVHS recorder. A built-in hard drive generallt allows recording for 15 days, depending on the recording mode. With optional tape backup, unlimited storage capacity is possible. The recorder includes versatile multiplexer functions that allow live and recorded images from the nine camera inputs to be show on the monitor in single camera, four-camera or nine camera displays. Live video can be viewed while recording.

Video compression produces high-resolution playback with more than 450 horizontal lines. Users can select from as many as eith recording intervals ranging from 1-30 images per second. The DVR can be programmed to record only when it detects motion.

Digital ZOOM permits the user to zoom in on a selected area of the image during live viewing and playback

For each camera there is also an alarm input that triggers alarm recording when a contact closure is received from the alarm device. This input will tell the unit to start recording, or if it already recording, to record at a high speed.
